William D. Kirsh, D.O., M.P.H.
William D. Kirsh DO, MPH has been in private practice over 18 years and is board-certified in family medicine and geriatrics. As a family physician, Dr. Kirsh can serve as a primary care physician for people of all ages, as well as provide consultation for other physicians. Dr. Kirsh was residency trained at both The Johns Hopkins University and Nova-Southeastern University. He also received a Masters of Public Health (MPH) at The Johns Hopkins University. He is actively involved in the South Florida Association of Retarded Citizens and practices in Africa through International Health Initiatives. He has experience in healthcare administration as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of several major insurance companies and has been the founder of several healthcare business intelligent software companies. Dr. Kirsh’s interest is in clinical prevention and is the Medical Director of the Department of Preventive Medicine at Mercy Hospital, which operates the Mercy Freedom Program. He has been the author of journal articles on prevention and integration of case management in ambulatory settings. He has been actively involved in clinical research as a principle investigator in diabetes and weight management. He maintains academic appointments in the School of Public Health and the Osteopathic Medical School at Nova-Southeastern University.
As a family physician, Dr. Kirsh is a trained medical doctor who specialize in providing continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and the family, including physical, behavioral health and osteopathic manipulation.
